Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting are recruiting a Payroll Manager for a brand-new role. Based in Indian Queens, you will own the payroll function and lead a small team, overseeing payroll for 200+ employees across salaried, hourly, and shift-based workers.

Reporting to the Group Accountant, you will ensure HMRC, pension and statutory compliance, while driving process improvements and acting as the payroll expert and main point of contact across HR and Finance.

• Experience leading a payroll team and coordinating with HR/Finance.

Payroll Manager - Indian Queens - Competitive salary DOE + Hybrid working

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be working with a highly successful and growing Cornish business to recruit a Payroll Manager for a brand-new role.

Reporting to the Group Accountant, you'll take ownership of the payroll function, leading a small team and overseeing payroll for more than 200 employees across a mix of salaried, hourly-paid and shift-based workers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• - Managing the end-to-end payroll process for 190+ employees
• - Ensuring HMRC, pension and statutory compliance
• - Leading payroll reporting, reconciliations and year-end activities
• - Managing and developing a Payroll Officer
• - Working closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy
• - Driving payroll process improvements and system enhancements
• - Acting as the business's payroll expert and key point of contact

We're looking for an experienced payroll professional with strong technical knowledge of UK payroll legislation and proven experience managing a complex payroll environment.

You'll be highly organised, detail-oriented and confident working with stakeholders across the business. Previous experience leading a payroll team is essential, whilst experience with Sage Payroll or PayCircle would be an advantage.
