Hybrid: 2 Days from Home

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-driven Payroll Manager to manage end-to-end payroll in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing using both manual and digital T&A systems, working closely with HR, Finance, and our outsourced payroll provider.

Key Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll, including statutory deductions and salary adjustments
• Submit payroll data to HMRC, pension providers, and payroll bureau
• Respond to employee payroll queries professionally and promptly
• Maintain payroll records and reconcile payroll control accounts
• Support year-end reporting (e.g., P60s, P11Ds) and audit requirements
• Ensure compliance with HMRC and pension regulations
• Assist in transitioning from paper to digital T&A systems

Requirements

• Proven payroll experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC processes
• Experience with manual and electronic timekeeping systems
• Proficient in Excel and Sage (or similar payroll/finance software)
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and communication skills

Preferred

• CIPP qualified or working towards
• Experience with system implementations (e.g., Workday)
