Job summary

LTE Group in Manchester is seeking a Payroll Implementation Lead to oversee the payroll implementation workstream for our new HR & Payroll system. You will lead the set-up, mobilisation and early-life stabilisation of the real-time payroll platform.

Reporting to the Group Director of Human Resources, you will translate UK payroll legislation and policy into standardised system rules, manage data migration and conduct end-to-end testing and a parallel payroll run.

Qualifications

• CIPP Foundation degree in payroll Management or equivalent professional knowledge.
• Extensive UK payroll experience in a complex, high-volume and/or multi-frequency environment.
• Hands-on payroll system implementation, transformation or migration.
• Knowledge of PAYE, NIC, RTI, auto-enrolment and payroll controls.
• Experience administering pension deductions and payroll-related returns.
• Experience producing process documentation, audit evidence and MI.
• Experience working with suppliers and senior stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the system payroll implementation workstream with plans, milestones and dependencies.
• Configure and validate the system payroll set-up for elements, pay frequencies, tax and NI settings.
• Ensure implementation supports real-time processing and standardized processes.
• Lead payroll data mapping, cleansing, migration, validation and reconciliation.
• Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing and a minimum three-month parallel payroll run with evidence.
