Job summary

MTrec Recruitment is representing an industry-leading manufacturing client seeking a Finance and Payroll Assistant. The role focuses on processing the monthly payroll, invoices, supplier reconciliations, and VAT returns, with duties including supplier account maintenance and creditor reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage 50 Payroll and Sage 200, be highly organised, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and clear communication with internal teams and

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll processing in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Experience processing invoices and account reconciliations.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
• Organised team player with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process the company’s monthly payroll and all submissions.
• Process invoices following authorisation procedures and ensure accuracy.
• Liaise with suppliers for queries and reconciliations.
• Create and maintain supplier accounts.
• Weekly creditor reports – invoices and credits required.
• Prepare monthly supplier analysis reports.
• Assist with VAT returns preparation and submission.
• Manage daily bank balances reports and account reconciliations.
• Provide back-up for Credit Controller during holidays.
• Support month-end procedures and other departments with financial queries.
