Payroll Finance Specialist 6 month FTC or Permanent Telford Hybrid-Working

The Company

Seymour John is excited to partner with our Telford-based client to hire a Payroll Finance Specialist. The client is open to hiring on a Fixed Term Contract or permanently for the right candidate.

The Opportunity

The Payroll Finance Specialist is a key role within the HR Team, reporting directly to the Payroll Manager. The role involves working closely with the Payroll and HR Services Team and other stakeholders, providing expert advice and guidance. It offers exposure to various payroll finance areas and the chance to take ownership of these tasks with a proactive approach.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Producing and sending monthly cost centre listings to Finance
2. Creating payroll analysis reports
3. Compiling recharge reports for finance teams
4. Sending monthly recharge analyses to treasury for intercompany bank transfers
5. Producing Payroll General Ledger posting reports
6. Generating Headcount reports
7. Reconciling and investigating payroll control account balances and arranging corrections
8. Producing reports for monthly pension changes
9. Generating monthly IR35 reports for all entities
10. Distributing payroll reports to finance teams
11. Providing overtime and shift allowance reports
12. Producing and sending Class 1A NICs reports
13. Approving payroll payments each month
