Job summary

ITSS Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Payroll Officer for a role in Fareham. You will be responsible for preparing the monthly payroll up to the point of final checking, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to meet payroll deadlines.

You will triage payroll/timesheet queries, resolve issues without handoff where possible, supervise a junior finance member, and assist with housing management rent databases and sublet rent breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Ensure monthly payroll is accurately prepared each month.
• Take on day-to-day responsibilities including correct remuneration and pension liabilities.
• Ensure all staff information from attendance sheets is reflected in salaries.
• Set up new starters and process leavers; issue P45s.
• Ensure statutory deductions are made and submitted to HMRC and the Pensions Trust.
• Issue payslips and pension letters monthly; respond to staff queries.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the business values.
