Job summary

IVC Evidensia is seeking a Payroll Clerk to support the Payroll Team with end-to-end payroll and related administrative duties. The role involves handling email queries, pension submissions, month-end tasks, and payroll reporting for permanent staff and locums.

The ideal candidate will have payroll experience (Sage payroll preferred), strong Excel skills, and meticulous numerical ability. A proactive, team-oriented approach and excellent time management are essential in this fast-paced

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience essential (Sage payroll desirable).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (strong working knowledge of Excel and Word).
• Excellent numerical skills, and adaptability to learning new skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative, as well as being highly team orientated.
• Dedicated and conscientious with great attention to detail.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Positive approach to all aspects of payroll related work.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with email queries.
• Pension and HMRC submissions.
• Month end journals including reconciling Total Cost to nominal link.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintaining and updating employee payroll records.
• Liaising with People Services to ensure correct employee data.
• Dealing with aspects of manual adhoc monthly sheet.
• Preparation of all reports for both permanent staff and locums from HR Portal.
• Processing calculations for new starts, changes, leavers, etc.
• Provide payroll support to the Payroll Team.
• Perform ad hoc payroll duties as and when required.
• Knowledge of current payroll and statutory legislation.
