David Allen is seeking a Payroll Assistant Trainee to join our friendly payroll team. You will learn how payroll works in practice, processing weekly, monthly and annual payrolls, pensions, HMRC submissions and client communication.

This hands-on trainee role provides training and guidance to help you grow in confidence and develop your technical knowledge, with experienced colleagues supporting your career in payroll.

Aufgaben

• Process weekly, monthly and annual payroll and pension schemes accurately.
• Input wages information and produce payslips and reports for employers.
• Upload pension files and submit information to HMRC.
• Act as first point of contact for clients and respond to payroll queries promptly.
• Open and close payroll and pension schemes with the relevant bodies.
• Liaise with HMRC, pension providers and other third parties.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure client data security.
• Plan, manage and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
• Communicate clearly with line manager and wider team.
• Support improvements to systems and processes across the department.
