Job summary

MAHLE GmbH is seeking a Payroll Assistant to deliver accurate payroll administration using SAP, ensuring timely payments and compliance with HMRC and pension requirements. You will manage payroll data, support queries, and generate reports across a multi-site UK operation.

The role covers data input, validation, and audits, collaborating with HR and Finance to resolve issues and maintain confidentiality. GCSEs in Maths/English are required; CIPP study is welcomed.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Payroll experience and SAP knowledge are essential.
• Desirable: payroll qualification or progress toward CIPP.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly/weekly payroll processing using SAP.
• Input and maintain payroll data: starters, leavers, salary changes, deductions, tax codes and overtime.
• Validate payroll data for accuracy before submission.
• Maintain employee records in SAP HR/Payroll.
• Generate payroll reports and management information from SAP.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC, pension rules and company policies.
• Maintain payroll confidentiality and assist audits.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve issues; support pension admin.
