Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join its busy payroll team in the UK. The role involves processing weekly and monthly payroll for a large number of workers, ensuring accurate hours, bookings and timesheets, and liaising with recruitment and operations teams.

You will work with Merit Payroll Software and vendor systems to submit hours to authorities, develop payroll knowledge, and progressively take on more responsibility for the end-to-end payroll cycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll or payroll administration.
• Experience using Merit Payroll Software is advantageous.
• Strong Excel and data-entry skills.
• Able to work with large volumes of data and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support weekly and monthly payroll processing, ensure worker data, bookings and timesheets are recorded accurately.
• Process leavers and starters, maintain records and assist with payroll checks and reconciliations.
• Resolve payroll queries with workers, consultants and clients in a timely, professional manner.
• Produce and check payroll reports and assist with general payroll administration.
