Job summary

W Talent Finance is partnering with a well-established accountancy and professional services firm in Rotherham to recruit a Payroll Administrator Apprentice. You will join an existing payroll team and help deliver accurate payroll services while working towards a Level 3 Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths (minimum 5 GCSEs).
• Interest in payroll and long-term career development.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing client payrolls accurately and on time.
• Enter payroll data and ensure accuracy in internal systems.
• Support payroll calculations including benefits and adjustments.
• Address basic payroll queries and escalate complex issues.
• Assist with payslips, P45s, P60s and P11D(b) docs.
• Liaise with HMRC on PAYE queries.
• Maintain confidential payroll records.
• Build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Keep up to date with current payroll legislation.
• Provide general admin support to the payroll team.
• Assist with wider office admin duties.
