Job summary

TSG UK, a division of the TSG Group, is offering a Payroll Apprenticeship in Longforgan. You will learn how salaries, overtime, pensions and deductions are calculated while supporting payroll for around 500 employees across the UK.

This paid apprenticeship combines practical workplace experience with college study, with progression into Payroll Assistant, Administrator and Supervisor roles as you gain payroll knowledge.

Qualifications

• National 5 in English and Math required.
• Eligibility to undertake a Scottish Modern Apprenticeship required.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail essential.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Support weekly and monthly payroll processing.
• Assist with payroll data entry and employee records.
• Learn PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments within a UK business.
• Support payroll reconciliations and validation checks.
• Assist with administration of the company pension scheme.
• Learn how payroll systems manage employee information.
• Respond to routine employee pay queries professionally and confidentially.
• Develop understanding of payroll legislation, compliance and best practice.
• As confidence grows, take on greater responsibility and develop new skills.
