We want someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys working with numbers and has a genuine commitment to providing an excellent service to colleagues.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the wider HR team with general administration, employee documentation and day-to-day HR processes when payroll deadlines have been met. Attention to detail is absolutely essential for this role. We are looking for someone who doesn't just complete a task but takes pride in checking that it has been done correctly.
You will be someone who:
  • Has excellent attention to detail and a methodical, accurate approach to work.
  • Is confident working with numbers, spreadsheets and payroll information.
  • Takes responsibility for their work and proactively identifies and resolves errors.

  • Can explain payroll matters clearly and sensitively, recognising how important pay is to every member of staff.
  • Is organised, dependable and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Enjoys being part of a team and is happy to support colleagues with wider administrative tasks.

Previous experience in payroll administration, including payroll calculations, would be highly desirable. Experience of working within a school or HR environment would be an advantage, although we are equally interested in candidates from other sectors who have the right skills and approach.
