Job summary

Digital Realty Trust, L.P. is seeking a skilled Payroll Operations professional to manage monthly payroll processing for multiple EMEA entities and coordinate with a global vendor.

You will handle inputs such as bonuses and deductions, review outputs for accuracy, and ensure timely payments in line with local regulations. The role also covers international assignments, expatriate allowances, and equity compensation processing in compliance with tax and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in multi-country EMEA payroll operations.
• Experience with international payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, CloudPay).
• Knowledge of EMEA payroll legislation, compliance, and reporting obligations.
• Experience handling equity compensation (RSU/ESPP).
• Proficiency in Excel and HRIS/ERP systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented.
• Excellent English communication (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate monthly payroll processing for multiple EMEA entities with the global vendor.
• Prepare, validate, and submit payroll inputs including bonuses, allowances, deductions, and off-cycle adjustments.
• Review outputs for accuracy, compliance, and completeness before approval.
• Ensure timely execution of payroll payments including salaries, taxes, and social contributions.
• Serve as payroll contact for international assignments; handle expatriate allowances and shadow payrolls.
• Coordinate with Global Mobility and Compensation teams on expatriate processing.
• Reconcile payroll journals with Finance; support audits and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline payroll operations across the EMEA region.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors; participate in system enhancements.

Payroll Operations

• Manage and coordinate monthly payroll processing for multiple EMEA entities in collaboration with the global payroll vendor.
• Prepare, validate, and submit payroll inputs not covered by system integrations (e.g., bonuses, allowances, deductions, and off-cycle adjustments).
• Review payroll outputs for accuracy, compliance, and completeness prior to approval.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of all payroll-related payments, including salaries, taxes, social security, and statutory contributions.

International Mobility and Equity Programs

• Act as the primary payroll contact for international assignments, ensuring accurate payroll treatment for inbound and outbound mobile employees.
• Coordinate with Global Mobility and Compensation teams to process expatriate allowances, tax equalizations, and shadow payrolls where applicable.
• Manage the correct payroll handling of equity compensation, including RSU vestings and ESPP transactions, in compliance with local tax and reporting requirements.

Finance and Compliance

• Partner closely with the Finance department to reconcile payroll journals and respond to related inquiries.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and payroll reports.
• Maintain compliance with all local statutory requirements and internal control standards (SOX, GDPR, etc.).

Process Improvement and Collaboration

• Identify opportunities to streamline payroll operations and enhance process efficiency across the EMEA region.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors.
• Participate in global payroll projects and system enhancements as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in multi-country EMEA payroll operations.
• Proven experience with international payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, CloudPay, or similar platforms).
• Sound understanding of EMEA payroll legislation, compliance, and reporting obligations.
• Experience managing payroll for globally mobile employees and equity compensation (RSU/ESPP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with HRIS/ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); additional EMEA languages are an advantage.
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-paced, and international matrix environment.

• 2-4 Years of experience in HR or payroll administration, preferable in an IT or technical business
• Completed commercial training in payroll accounting
• Knowledge of tax, social security, and employment law
• Proficient in and English communication
