Job Description

Senior Payroll Team Leader

Location: Leicester Office - Hybrid (usually 2 days at home after probation)

Department: Central Services

Reporting to: Payroll Operations Team Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a Payroll Advisor to join our existing team of 4, managing approximately 200 payrolls per month. The role demands accuracy, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure colleagues are paid correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare, process, and manage payrolls for a diverse portfolio of clients, from sole traders to complex payrolls.
  2. Organise and plan own workload effectively.
  3. Set up new starters and process leavers.
  4. Input and calculate payroll data.
  5. Process all statutory payments as required.
  6. Submit real-time information to HMRC.
  7. Calculate and process pension figures.
  8. Ensure client compliance with Auto Enrolment legislation.
  9. Make necessary declarations to the Pensions Regulator.
