Job summary

The Lensbury in Twickenham is seeking a Payroll Advisor to join our finance team. You will manage two monthly payrolls, ensuring accurate calculations, deductions and timely processing for employees across our leisure and hospitality operations.

Key duties include payroll records maintenance, year-end activities, reporting, and supporting internal/external audits. Knowledge of HMRC rules and payroll software is essential; Fourth HRIS experience is desirable.

• Knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process 2 monthly payrolls accurately and within deadlines.
• Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and statutory payments.
• Ensure accurate deductions for tax, pensions, NI, student loans, and other authorised deductions.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records.
• Process new starters, leavers, salary changes, and employee benefits.
• Update absence and sickness records in Fourth, ensuring correct payments of SSP or CSP are processed.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports for management for payroll sign off.
• Prepare BACS files for submission.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly pension, uploading files to Aviva each month.
• Compile new starters to be enrolled into the scheme and processing leavers.
• Prepare monthly payroll journal.
• Provide monthly report to Finance e.g. Headcount, lieu days, holiday balances.
• Respond to employee payroll-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and company policies.
• Complete year-end payroll activities, including P60s and other statutory reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation and reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
