Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is recruiting an experienced Payroll Advisor to join a growing, people-focused team within a leading chartered accountancy. You will manage diverse payrolls across hospitality clients, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role covers high-volume, multi-frequency payrolls, RTI submissions, auto-enrolment, and complex client portfolios. Strong Excel skills and client-facing experience are essential in this busy environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and auto-enrolment.
• 2+ years' payroll processing experience (ideally bureau/client-facing).
• Experience managing multiple complex payrolls.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple payroll frequencies (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Ensure compliance with National Minimum Wage rules and RTI submissions.
• Oversee payroll for zero-hours, casual, seasonal, and agency workers.
• Process payroll data from rota and time-and-attendance systems.
• Administer workplace pension auto-enrolment and statutory payments.
• Support multi-site and multi-brand payrolls with differing rules.
• Advise clients on holiday pay, Working Time Regulations, and statutory entitlements.

We are currently assisting with the recruitment for an experienced Payroll Advisor to join a growing, people-focused leading chartered accountancy. This role sits within a high-performing payroll team that supports a wide range of clients with complex, high-volume, and multi-frequency payrolls. This role will focus on processing the hospitality clients payrolls.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Managing multiple payroll frequencies: weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and annual
• Ensuring compliance with National Minimum Wage rules,
• Overseeing payroll for zero-hours, casual, seasonal, and agency workers
• Processing payroll data from rota and time-and-attendance systems
• Managing RTI submissions, statutory payments, and workplace pension auto-enrolment
• Supporting multi-site and multi-brand payrolls with differing rules and structures
• Advising clients on holiday pay, Working Time Regulations, and statutory entitlements

Essential experience:

• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and auto-enrolment
• 2+ years' payroll processing experience (ideally bureau/client-facing)
• Experience managing multiple complex payrolls
• Excellent accuracy, communication, and organisational skills
• Confident in excel
• Ability to manage a client portfolio effectively
