Payroll Advisor Job Responsibilities

• Process new hires and internal transfers, ensuring compliance with HMRC and company policies
• Process leavers, ensuring final payments are accurate
• Handle job changes, including salary, organisational, and accounting structures
• Understand payroll calculations and processes
• Manage absence entries in the time and attendance system and identify employees due to lose entitlements
• Liaise with group providers for pensions, shares, and Childcare Vouchers
• Perform monthly payroll checks before submission
• Prepare MDUs for upload by SSC or MOA
• Specialise in key areas, such as Maternity

• Strong payroll technical knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements, applying them to various circumstances
• Ability to establish relationships to deliver customer-centric service
• Excellent communication skills to respond clearly and professionally to queries
• High judgement and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to assess situations and determine the best course of action considering customer, business needs, and statutory requirements
• Knowledge of escalation procedures to the Payroll Administration Manager or Head of UK Payroll
