Job summary

RECfinancial are recruiting an experienced Payroll Administrator for a permanent role with a South Leicestershire based business. You’ll report to the partners and ensure payroll is compliant with HMRC, pensions and payments, while advising clients from a payroll perspective.

The role covers weekly and monthly payroll processing, verification of PAYE/NI and pension deductions, handling client communications and submissions, and mentoring team members. CIS returns are a bonus.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of payroll, including calculations, PAYE/NI thresholds and pension schemes.
• Experience with systems such as Sage, Xero or Brightpay would be advantageous.
• CIS returns are a bonus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prioritize workload with an up-to-date task list.
• Process weekly and monthly payroll.
• Verify accuracy of PAYE, NI, and pension deductions; ensure RTI compliance.
• Handle client communications, payroll reports and compliance submissions.
• Manage PAYE and pension payments and register schemes.
• Address payroll queries professionally.
