Job summary

Hireful Ltd in Henley-on-Thames is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to cover a 12 month maternity leave in a busy accountancy practice. You will handle weekly and monthly payrolls, pension administration, CIS returns, and client queries, with RTI compliance and accurate payslips.

The role offers hybrid working with flexitime, a salary up to £40,000, 23 days’ annual leave plus holidays, a discretionary annual bonus, and a supportive handover to begin from day one.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Payroll Administrator, ideally processing payrolls for multiple clients in a bureau or accountancy practice.
• Confident knowledge of RTI, auto-enrolment pensions and CIS.
• Strong accuracy, organisation and the ability to manage several deadlines at once.
• Clear, professional communication with clients.
• Desirable: a CIPP qualification and experience of a recognised payroll package.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payrolls for allocated clients, from data receipt to payslips, RTI submissions and reporting.
• Manage pension administration, including auto-enrolment, and submit monthly CIS returns within HMRC deadlines.
• Prepare BACS payment files for net pay and HMRC liabilities.
• Be the first point of contact for client payroll queries, and run the firm’s own monthly payroll.
