Job description

Payroll Administrator - 12 month fixed term contract

Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Location: Bedford

The Payroll Administrator will support the Head of Payroll and Payroll Team members in delivering accurate and efficient payroll services for monthly and weekly pay cycles. The role involves ensuring timely and precise payroll processing for the Ramsay UK Bank and Contracted Workforce.

What you will do:
  1. Support colleagues and Line Managers to process payroll accurately and efficiently.
  2. Collaborate with Corporate Teams (Workday, Recruitment, Onboarding, HR) for onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management.
  3. Assist with HMRC NMW enquiries and auto-enrolment processing.
  4. Understand rostering system as a payroll data source.
  5. Resolve complex payroll queries related to payments, tax, pensions, etc.
What you will need:
  1. Proven experience in delivering high-volume, end-to-end payroll in a large organization.
  2. Strong knowledge of HMRC compliance, RTI, statutory payments, NLW, GDPR, and pension auto-enrolment.
  3. Experience with Workday payroll system.
Essential Education and Capabilities:
  1. Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  3. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  4. Flexible, adaptable, and open to change.
  5. Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Education and Capabilities:
  1. A relevant payroll qualification (advantageous but not essential).
