Job summary

Ashley Kate HR & Finance is partnering with our client in Solihull to recruit a Payroll Administrator on a fixed-term contract. The role focuses on end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, and delivering a high-quality service to employees and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have solid payroll experience, be highly organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid working in Solihull is offered, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Previous payroll administration experience.
• Good understanding of UK payroll legislation and payroll processes.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process allocated payrolls accurately and within strict deadlines.
• Ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time in line with payroll legislation and internal controls.
• Handle payroll queries from employees and stakeholders, providing a professional and customer–focused service.
• Support payroll administration activities and associated payroll processes.
• Assist with employee benefits administration, including pensions and savings schemes.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with the wider payroll and reward teams to ensure consistency of service.
• Support the implementation of payroll initiatives, process enhancements, and continuous improvement activities.
• Produce payroll–related reports and analysis as required.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll best practice.
• Support additional payroll and administrative duties as required.
