Ashley Kate HR & Finance are delighted to partner with our client to recruit a Payroll Administrator on a fixed-term contract in Solihull. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and on-time payments, while supporting benefits administration and process improvements.

The role requires experience in payroll, strong numerical skills, and attention to detail within a fast-paced environment. Hybrid working and a 27k–33k salary DOE are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Process allocated payrolls end-to-end within deadlines.
  • Ensure employees are paid correctly and on time in line with legislation and internal controls.
  • Handle payroll queries from employees and stakeholders with a professional service.
  • Support payroll administration activities and related processes.
  • Assist with employee benefits administration including pensions and savings schemes.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with wider payroll and reward teams to ensure consistency of service.
  • Support payroll initiatives, process improvements and continuous improvement activities.
  • Produce payroll-related reports and analysis as required.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll best practice.

Payroll Administrator (FTC)

Location: Solihull (Hybrid Working)

Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday

Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 DOE

Ashley Kate HR & Finance are delighted to be partnering with our client in the search for a Payroll Administrator to join their established payroll team on a fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to join a busy and supportive environment where accuracy, customer service, and continuous improvement are at the heart of the role. You will play a key part in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting payroll processes, benefits administration, and ongoing improvements across the payroll function.

As Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of allocated payrolls, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and financial controls. Working closely with the wider payroll and reward teams, you will provide a high-quality service to employees and stakeholders while identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.

This role would suit someone with strong payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering an accurate and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

Essential
  • Previous payroll administration experience.
  • Good understanding of UK payroll legislation and payroll processes.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced administrative environment.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
