Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking a dedicated payroll professional to join our HR Operations team. This standalone payroll role will manage weekly and monthly payroll cycles, process data accurately, and support process improvements.

Hybrid working with Chorley or Huyton office base, salary £33,000–£36,000, and development support towards CIPP Level 5.

You will liaise with our outsourced payroll provider and help ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK payroll processing and UK legislation.
• CIPP qualified, working towards it, or open to studying.
• Confident with data validations, Excel, and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly and monthly payroll submissions.
• Liaise directly with our outsourced payroll provider.
• Ensure payroll data is accurate, complete, and on time.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies, queries, and adjustments.
• Support year-end activities, HMRC submissions, and pension reporting.
