Job summary

Lloyd Barnes Recruitment client is a well-established South West-based accountancy firm seeking a Payroll & Accounts Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis. You will manage high-volume payrolls and assist with bookkeeping in a growing practice.

The role requires strong payroll knowledge (PAYE, NIC, SMP, SSP) and excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and within a small team to meet deadlines and deliver outstanding client service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience processing a high volume of payroll transactions.
• Effective communication with clients, colleagues and HMRC.
• Strong knowledge of PAYE, SSP, SMP, NI and pensions.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team, with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage high-volume payrolls for a diverse client portfolio.
• Administer end-to-end payroll processes with accuracy and compliance.
• Handle payroll-related queries with clients, HMRC and third parties.
• Assist with bookkeeping duties and support accounts preparation.
• Support the wider accounts team with ad hoc finance tasks and deadlines.
