Job summary

Impact Recruitment Services in Northampton is seeking an Accounts Assistant (Payroll) to support a growing finance team. The role covers payroll processing, reconciliations and month‑end tasks, with flexible hours in a permanent position.

You should have at least 3 years in accounts, payroll experience, AAT Level 3 (or equivalent), and strong Excel. Xero and Sage Payroll experience is ideal. Benefits include 25 days holiday, flexible working, a good pension and a company bonus.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Payroll experience is essential.
• At least 3 years’ experience within an accounts position.
• Experience using Xero accounting software & Sage Payroll is ideal.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing payroll, including deductions, payments and HMRC submissions
• Reconciling bank statements and company accounts
• Processing receipts and payments accurately
• Preparing and issuing invoices
• Maintaining financial records and databases
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes
• Assisting with financial reporting and administrative tasks
• Liaising with internal teams and external contacts as required
