Job summary

Citi London is seeking a senior leader to join the UK & Europe Cluster Payments team, focusing on strategically managing and driving Citi's payments franchise across the UK, Europe and global markets. You will shape industry strategy and lead regulatory engagement to position Citi as a front‑line thought leader.

You will harness AI and analytical tools to monitor regulatory developments, synthesize intelligence, and translate shifts into actionable product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Extensive, progressive experience in Payments and strategic leadership within financial services, with depth in UK/European ecosystems.
• Experience representing a tier-one institution in external industry forums, regulatory groups and public policy.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end payment processing, clearing, settlement and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience leveraging AI tools and analytics within financial services.
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Analytical and conceptual skills to navigate complex regulatory environments and translate policy into opportunities.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance and Public Affairs.

Responsibilities

• Define and steer industry strategy for Citi's Payments, Platform Services and Liquidity businesses.
• Lead consultations and working groups with regulators and industry bodies across UK/Europe/global markets.
• Translate external regulatory shifts into actionable insights for product roadmaps and investments.
• Bridge external dynamics with internal stakeholders, aligning roadmaps with market changes.
• Champion AI-powered market intelligence to scan the market and accelerate decision making.
• Provide executive advisory to clients, translating regulatory developments into impacts on cash management.
• Foster proactive risk management and governance across policy lifecycles.
