Job summary

Morson Edge (Financial Services) is partnering with a UK digital bank to recruit a London-based Senior Payments Programme Manager. The role is permanent and hybrid, requiring in-office presence in the City three days per week as part of a high-visibility payments portfolio.

You will drive Debit Card modernisation, Current Account Switching, and digital channel integrations while managing multiple vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager experience in banking/fintech.
• Extensive end-to-end payments knowledge.
• Technical delivery experience from project/programme view.
• Experience leading a team of project managers.
• Excellent stakeholder and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple payments projects end-to-end within a transforming bank portfolio.
• Provide strategic oversight while engaging with 3rd party suppliers and internal teams.
• Drive delivery plans, milestones and governance across programmes.
• Mentor and manage a team of project managers and PMOs.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and benefits realisation.

My client, an exciting UK Digital Bank, is urgently looking for a Programme Manager to join their London based office on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, and you will be required in the office 3 days per week (in the City).

This is an exciting opportunity to run a number of payments Projects for the bank as they go through a lot of transformation. They currently have a lot of change within the portfolio, including Debit Card Modernisation, Current Account Switching Services, Digital Channel integration and platform enhancements. managing a number of projects, providing strategic oversight as well as being in the technical detail, utilising your end to end understanding of Payments. Due to the nature of the bank, they have a lot of 3rd party suppliers and integration in the platforms too, so stakeholder engagement and vendor management will play an important part in this role.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Proven Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager experience within the banking sector (preferably working at a challenger bank or Fintech)
• Extensive Payments knowledge (end to end)
• Technical delivery experience from a project / programme perspective
• Experience managing a team of project managers
• Excellent stakeholder management and vendor experience
