Job Description

The Product Function is responsible for creating and building a world-class cross-border payments solution, supporting a portfolio of products, and adding sustainable value to the business. This role will be a Product Owner, responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements and supporting development teams to evaluate and prioritize backlogs. Responsibilities include:

1. Coordinating a scrum team of business analysts, technical analysts, and developers, providing ongoing guidance and knowledge transfer to less tenured Product Owners.
2. Leading multiple product development work streams across the business.
3. Working with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translating these into requirements for the Product roadmap.
4. Ensuring the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, including dependencies and priorities based on the overall strategy.
5. Supporting testing, training, and implementation activities; identifying and documenting emerging business requirements to ensure successful delivery of business and technology solutions.
6. Creating features to support the evolution and evaluation of new products or network products, participating in feature prioritization, presenting the vision to teams, highlighting upcoming milestones, and approving quarterly objectives.

This is a hybrid position. The expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a product ownership or Scrum Master role within an agile team.
• 5+ years’ experience in the payment industry, including FX, cross-border payments, SWIFT, ACH, ISO 20022, and global instant payments schemes.
• Proven experience working in an Agile methodology environment (e.g., SCRUM, DSDM, Lean/Kanban).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & oral) and stakeholder management, with the ability to translate business needs to technical teams.
• Experience in process mapping, data transformation, migration, and reconciliation projects.
• Good technical understanding of web applications and APIs, with competence in XML, JSON, and basic Java.
