About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to elevate our largest and fastest-growing business—Video-based Safety. Safety is a core reason customers choose Samsara. The features developed by this team identify driving risks, provide programmatic access to safety data, surface risky events, and enable efficient event management.

Our team is at the forefront of utilizing AI and diagnostic data to meet customer safety needs. Since launching AI dash cameras in 2019, customer feedback has highlighted the critical role of AI capabilities in their purchasing decisions.

This role involves owning new initiatives, driving vision, roadmap, and priorities within the Safety organization. The position can be office-based or fully remote.

• Identify, design, and bring innovative solutions to market in collaboration with Design, Engineering, and Marketing teams.

Minimum Requirements

• 8+ years in product management.
• Successful track record of launching and scaling innovative products.
• Preferably, an undergraduate degree in Computer Science; MS, PhD, or MBA is a plus.
• Strong technical credibility with engineering teams.
• Ability to extract insights from data and customer feedback.
• Bias for action with experience delivering tangible results.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable with presentations to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams to meet tight deadlines.
