Payment Systems Success Manager

You will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our payment processing systems, including monitoring and resolving transaction differences and handling escalated customer and payer queries. Additionally, you will manage a small team based in the UK and India.

The Payment Systems Success Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders across the group to ensure the smooth operation of our payment processing platforms. The role requires excellent problem-solving and reconciliation skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality customer service through verbal and written communication.
  2. Proactively monitor payment flows using existing reports.
  3. Handle transaction discrepancies and resolve differences between internal and external systems.
  4. Develop monitoring controls and assist with implementing solutions.
  5. Manage a small team responsible for finance customer support and daily payment system tasks.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams, such as Product & Development, to improve customer, payer, and internal experiences.
  7. Oversee credit control tasks for customer and payer debts.
  8. Manage Direct Debit Indemnity Claims (DDICs) and Chargeback challenge processes.
  9. Provide reports and analysis on transaction discrepancies, DDICs, Chargebacks, and support ticket trends, and suggest improvements to reduce volumes.
  10. Monitor compliance with BACS and merchant scheme rules.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  1. Experience in payments administration, preferably in a similar industry.
  2. Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  3. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
  4. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  5. Proactive with the ability to use initiative.
  6. Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Knowledge of payment industry rules and regulations.
  8. Experience with various payments software and applications.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
