Job summary

Barker Ross's public sector client in Durham seeks a Pay, Reward & Employment Services Team Leader on a hybrid basis. The role involves supervising a team, prioritising and planning a wide range of HR/payroll tasks, and ensuring high service levels for internal and external customers.

The post requires CIPD or CIPP Level 5 qualification, and the first week will be full-time in the office; thereafter, 2 days per week in the office.

• Lead day-to-day supervision of Pay, Reward & Employment Services team.
• Prioritise, plan and supervise Pay, Reward and Employment Services tasks.
• Develop flexible multi-skilled approach and ensure training for staff.

Responsibilities

• Support complex HR/Payroll projects including Job Evaluation and system reviews.
• Lead planning, implementation and review of corporate and service-area plans.
• Supervise payroll processing, ensure data accuracy and deadlines.
• Assist in tender submissions and development of service agreements.
