Job summary

Crosby Composites Limited is seeking an experienced laminator/pattern operator to assist with preparing components and tooling across a range of sectors. The role requires reading engineering drawings, final pattern and mould preparation, and finishing with hand and small air tools to high standards.

You will follow drawings and work instructions, help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency, and keep the department clean and safe in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pattern shop or similar environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail is essential.
• Able to follow work instructions.
• Good awareness of health and safety.
• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Used to working in a fast-moving environment.
• Flexible approach to whatever it takes to get the job done.

Responsibilities

• Final preparation of patterns and moulds.
• Using a variety of hand tools, small air tools and abrasive paper hand finish master patterns to the highest of standards.
• Spray sealer to patterns then post spraying preparation.
• Work to drawings and working instructions.
• Help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency.
• Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy.
