Job summary

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a PTS Communications Scheduler in Wakefield. The role focuses on scheduling patient transport requests to ambulance resources on travel days, while meeting contractual KPIs and maintaining high customer service standards.

You will work in a team and also independently, using a computerised scheduling system, with a 37.5-hour week across a 3-week shift pattern and a pro rata salary range.

Qualifications

• Experience in a patient/customer focused environment.
• Understanding of performance standards and customer care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using a computerised scheduling system.
• GCSEs (A-C) including English.
• ICT literate with Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient transport requests to ambulance resources on the day of travel.
• Work to agreed objectives and KPIs.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
