Job summary

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a Patient Transport Service (PTS) Non-Emergency Ambulance Controller to join PTS Logistics. The role involves scheduling transport requests, supporting KPI performance, and delivering high-quality patient care within a busy, patient-focused environment.

The successful candidate will use a computerised scheduling system, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced NHS Trust

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to work as a Patient Transport Service (PTS) Non-Emergency Ambulance Controller within PTS Logistics.

Main duties of the job

The role will require you to work to agreed objectives, to assist with the delivery of contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Working with the aid of a computerised scheduling system the post holders will be responsible for scheduling patient transport requests to ambulance resources on the day of travel.

The ability to communicate on all levels is essential and the successful applicant must be able to work on their own or as part of a team and use their own initiative.
