Job summary

EMED Group is recruiting a Controller/Planner in Sheffield to coordinate high-volume patient transport. You will schedule journeys within contracted time windows, allocate suitable vehicles and crew, and ensure timely collections and deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires strong organisation, analytical thinking and experience in time-critical operations. A 4 on 4 off rota with daytime/evening shifts is included, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated, time-critical transport environment or logistics.
• Ability to plan, schedule and reallocate resources to meet KPIs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Check and plan daily and future bookings in the Cleric system, informing sub-contractors and crews.
• Dispatch and manage operational crews to ensure on-time patient journeys.
• Receive and handle transport requests with accuracy and courtesy.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure good system housekeeping.
• Liaise with hospitals, GPs, and care facilities to optimise resources and KPI performance.
