We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated PatientSupport Officer to join our friendly team in this Administrative and Clericalrole. The Principal hospitals within County Durham and Darlington NHSFoundation Trust are Darlington Memorial Hospital, University Hospital of NorthDurham, Bishop Auckland Hospital and Shotley Bridge Hospital. The Cardiologyand Respiratory Investigation Units comprise a Team of approximately 50 staffwho provide a broad range of invasive and non invasive procedures. Thesuccessful canditate will co ordinate and maintain high quality appointmentsystems for Cardiology and Respiratory diagnostic services in DarlingtonMemorial and Bishop Auckland Hospitals in this patient facing role. The nominalbase for this post is Darlington Memorial Hospital, however the successfulcandidate can expect to work across other sites at times for their developmentand the service needs. Thesuccessful candidate will work as part of a team in a busy Cardio-RespiratoryDepartment. They will be responsible for co ordinating and maintaining highquality appointment systems for Cardiology and Respiratory Diagnostic Services,ensuring best utilisation of resources available. Experience of hospital basedpatient management systems will be desirable. They will be expected to take a leadingrole within a small administrative team, to ensure clinical services operate ina smooth and efficient manner.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
