Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for Band 2 Administrators to support a fixed-term GP Walk In Service pilot in Cowal, based at Cowal Community Hospital. The role focuses on welcoming patients and providing efficient administrative support to clinicians and the wider team.

Posts are fixed-term for 12 months, with total 56 hours available and flexible arrangements (full-time, part-time, or job share) considered. Informal discussion can be arranged with Eilidh Gallagher, Head of Primary Care.

Qualifications

• Administrative experience in a busy public-facing environment.
• Confident dealing with people and prioritising demands.
• Gaelic speakers welcomed and/or Gaelic language skills encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, person-centred administrative support for patients, clinicians and the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure patients are received, directed and supported efficiently to help the clinical team deliver safe, responsive care.
• Support day-to-day running of the GP Walk In Service pilot across Cowal.
• Assist with correspondence, data entry and appointment coordination as part of a fixed-term post.
