Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Patient Safety Learning Response Lead to support the Trust’s identification, analysis and sharing of learning from patient safety events. The postholder will work with clinical and non-clinical teams to interpret findings and inform recommendations that strengthen organisational learning and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Degree level education or equivalent plus post-grad diploma level.
• Continuing education in patient safety, clinical risk management, quality improvement.
• Professional knowledge in patient safety, safety culture and PSIRF.
• Use of Ulysses Risk/Incident Management Systems.
• Experience in governance areas (risk, incidents, complaints, QA).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to guidance when serious patient safety events occur.
• Produce learning bulletins, safety alerts and notices across the Trust.
• Collate, analyse and report safety data to identify trends.
• Collaborate with Network Quality, legal and complaints teams for triangulation.
• Present learning at senior groups and external forums.
• Lead improvement programmes strengthening patient safety and quality of care.
• Develop learning and improvement plans within agreed timeframes.
