Job summary

The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury is seeking an Assistant Moving and Handling Advisor (RSH) to join the Moving and Handling Team. You will work with colleagues to provide training on patient handling and high-risk load handling for staff across SaTH and the wider Integrated Care System in Shropshire.

Candidates should have experience in acute clinical settings or domiciliary care, and a base at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent required.
• ROSPA Level 3 Award for Safer People Handling Trainers or equivalent, or willing to undertake training.
• Level 3 Award in Education and Training, or equivalent, or a willingness to undertake the training in post.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom-based and workplace-based training on patient handling and high-risk load handling.
• Support Trust and IC Staff in delivering and evaluating training interventions.
• Undertake tasks in Trust clinical and non-clinical workplaces to promote best practices.
