Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting a Patient Services Manager to lead the patient dining service at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. You will manage a large team, drive budgeted targets and ensure high-quality, safe catering aligned with patient care standards.

The role requires experience in healthcare or complex services, strong leadership and financial oversight, and a driving licence. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, located in Chesterfield.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a diverse workforce in a service environment.
• Proven experience budgeting and financial performance in catering.
• Excellent communication with patients, visitors, colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large catering operation with budget targets.
• Control labour costs, stock levels and food wastage for efficiency.
• Motivate and develop teams including recruitment and performance reviews.
• Ensure Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance across operations.
• Drive patient and client satisfaction and continuous service improvement.
• Manage employee relations per HR policies (attendance, conduct, wellbeing).
• Collaborate with dietitians, contractors and senior management to improve services.
• Identify and manage operational, financial and compliance risks.
