Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team on the Grand Junction, CO unit. You will perform basic care tasks and collaborate with RNs to ensure quality patient experience.

This role may also serve as Health Unit Coordinator, handle unit records, and assist with phones, orders, and supplies with a PRN schedule and weekend/holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• Current CNA in Colorado is required.
• BLS for healthcare providers is required.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen and comfort.
• Record patient care findings promptly and report changes.
• Monitor patients and assist on telemetry as needed.
• Transport medications to RN and collaborate with the care team.
• May serve as Health Unit Coordinator and manage unit records.
• Follow plan of care and maintain safety and regulatory standards.
• Assist in emergencies and foster a safe environment.
