Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking staff to perform cleaning duties across patient areas, clinical and non-clinical spaces, plus ward-level patient catering and laundering tasks. Role involves various healthcare settings and requires good communication with patients and colleagues. Training provided, including a two-day induction.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills are essential due to regular contact with patients.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of their employment.
• Applicants must be able to provide at least two references from their current or most recent employment or education, covering the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Clean across patient areas, clinical and non-clinical departments, offices and administration areas to National standards.
• Provide patient catering at ward level and undertake patient and mop laundering.
• Support patient housekeeping, curtain changes and porter/messenger duties.
• Work across healthcare environments as required and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
