Job summary

Progressive GP Group of Practices in Clevedon is looking for a Patient Co-ordinator to be the first person patients speak to, guiding them to the right service with empathy and calm under pressure.

No healthcare experience? Training is provided. You will support appointments, maintain records and work with GPs and nurses to ensure a safe, respectful patient journey. A rewarding path awaits.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Desirable: experience within a GP surgery or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients contacting the practice.
• Help patients access the most appropriate healthcare service.
• Manage appointment requests and bookings.
• Provide excellent customer service both over the phone and face-to-face.
• Support patients with enquiries and administrative requests.
• Create and maintain accurate patient records.
• Process correspondence and documentation.
• Work closely with GPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Help ensure patients receive a safe, efficient and positive experience.
