NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to assist in patient care under supervision, ensuring hygiene, order and safety in the ward environment. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support nurses and clinicians.

Ideal candidates bring care experience or willingness to train, with adherence to on-the-job training and HCSW standards. A supportive NHS environment includes pension, annual leave, and progression opportunities.

Formación

• Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or relevant health/education/social experience.
• Must undertake on the job training and induction.
• Undertake mandatory HCSW standards.
• Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• Co-operate with and maintain good relationships with other disciplines to maximise patient care.
• Maintain empathetic relationships with clients’ carers and relatives; refer questions to a nurse.
• Report changes in patients' needs and keep accurate records for effective communication.
• Work within divisional policies to ensure safe working practices.
• Adhere to ward procedures for the use of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain stock levels and carry out housekeeping to support ward operations.
