Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Bishops Wood Hospital in Middlesex is seeking a Patient Administrator for a part-time role of 22 hours per week. The position supports the administration department and contributes to a smooth patient journey in a private healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate will have Maths/English GCSEs at A-C, be proficient with PC software, and show basic financial awareness. Experience in private healthcare administration is beneficial, with a comprehensive benefits package on offer.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey.
• Follow Circle Health Group best practice process maps to provide an efficient, professional and standard service.
• Deal with all patient queries efficiently and professionally.
• Manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Approve electronic bookings and update bookings received via email.
• Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Ensure appropriate Health and Safety measures for patients, relatives, visitors, staff and contractors.

Patient Administrator Bishops Wood Hospital 22 Hours & Permanent Salary: £24,947.00 FTE per year. Bishops Wood Hospital in Middlesex is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Patient Administrator to join their team of staff in the Administration department. This is a part time role for 22 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties

• Contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey.
• Ensure the Circle Health Group best practice process maps are followed, to provide an efficient, professional and standard service to all patients, visitors, consultants and staff.
• Ensure All patient queries are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
• To manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Approve electronic bookings received via the relevant system and update any booking received via email.
• Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Ensuring appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff and contractors.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria

• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
• Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems
• Basic financial awareness
• Previous administration experience in a private healthcare environment would be beneficial.
