Salary: From £26,000

Hours: Rota between 7:30am - 8:00pm Monday to Friday, and 7:30am - 3:30pm Saturdays

Location: 55 Moorgate, London, EC2R 6BH - full-time in the office

Contract: Permanent

What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Registration Officer to join the Patient Access Team. Supported by the Registration/Admissions Supervisor, this dynamic, patient-facing role involves delivering a warm welcome to all outpatients and contributing to an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities include full registration upon arrival, providing information, and verifying demographic and financial data, including insurance authorizations and payments. Candidates should have knowledge of outpatient scheduling, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a busy hospital environment.

Key Duties:

  • Meet and greet outpatients and visitors
  • Facilitate appointment requests and referrals
  • Ensure complete demographic and financial information at check-in
  • Assist with patient check-in as needed
  • Liaise with insurance companies for authorizations
  • Collect payments using integrated systems
  • Manage cash drawer and ensure compliance with cash policies
  • Provide cost estimates to self-pay patients
  • Encourage sign-up to the CCL MyChart App
  • Coordinate with hospital departments for seamless patient care
  • Cross-train across Patient Access functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The department operates as a unified team, supporting various functions including Contact Centre, Cashiering, and Pre-Registration, with training provided for all areas.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a patient-facing environment preferred
  • Experience with hospital booking software preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Adaptability and team spirit
  • Ability to work independently
