Our Pathology service covers a range of disciplines, providing 12 million test results per annum in blood sciences (haematology, transfusion, biochemistry, immunology) and cellular sciences (microbiology, cellular pathology, mortuary & bereavement services). We promote career development pathways throughout the team at all levels. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new post within our pathology team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist the Quality team with data preparation, meeting minutes, planning management meetings, and other administrative duties. The successful candidate will support the Quality Manager and Pathology departments in maintaining the Quality Management System, ensuring standards such as UKAS, HTA, MHRA, and ISO 15189 are met.
Applicants must accept an interview slot in the system to proceed. All essential certificates must be produced for pre-employment checks. We serve from Darlington Memorial Hospital, University Hospital of North Durham, and other community settings. We welcome applications from disabled and BAME candidates as they are under-represented.
Support the Pathology department by maintaining records, data, and supporting regulatory standards. Work with meeting chairs, communicate with staff, and work autonomously under the guidance of the Quality Manager. Follow SOPs and policies, and train staff as needed.
