Your World is seeking a Product/Project Specialist to support a complex Pathology Partnership Programme. This technical PM role works with technical teams, maintains programme documentation, and keeps the Programme Lead informed of progress and risks.

Located in Stevenage with hybrid work (1 day on site, 4 days WFH), the role is temporary for ~3 months with potential extension. Strong documentation and stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare IT or pathology system programmes.
• Strong ability to understand technical documentation.
• Comfort in technical meetings and discussions.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage dependencies and inform senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of pathology systems such as WinPath, ICE, and LIS would be highly desirable.

Pathology Partnership Programme resource

Location: Hybrid (1 day on site in Stevenage / 4 days WFH)

Job Type: Temporary

Duration of booking: Expected to last 3 months with possible extension

Proposed start date: ASAP

Pay Rates: Up to £34 per hour Umbrella or £30 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Based: Office / Hospital

• Primarily remote working, with an expectation of attending the office one day a week.
• For the right candidate, fully remote working may be considered, with attendance required for key workshops, technical meetings, and stakeholder sessions as needed.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Product/ project Specialist to support a complex Pathology Partnership Programme. This is a technical PM role, requiring someone who is comfortable working alongside technical teams, maintaining programme documentation, and ensuring the Programme Lead remains informed of progress and risks.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Programme Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Pathology Partnership Programme.
• Maintain and manage technical project documentation.
• Attend technical design and delivery meetings, capturing actions, decisions, dependencies, and risks.
• Provide regular updates to the Programme Lead on progress, issues, and key decisions.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams, suppliers, and clinical stakeholders.

Programme Context
The programme includes several significant technical initiatives, including:

• Upgrade from WinPath 5 to WinPath Enterprise.
• ICE (Order Communications) upgrade and reconfiguration.
• Integration and dependencies with HSL's HiLIS/Lab system.
• Management of multiple technical and operational interdependencies across pathology systems and the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) environment.

The role is not responsible for project management or governance but will provide essential technical and programme support by ensuring documentation is accurate, actions are tracked, and technical discussions are effectively captured.

• EPR Team (predominantly site-based).
• Technical implementation teams.
• Pathology and laboratory system suppliers.
• Clinical and operational stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced resource supporting healthcare IT or pathology system programmes.
• Good understanding of technical documentation and system implementations.
• Able to participate confidently in technical meetings and understand complex discussions.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple dependencies and keeping senior stakeholders informed.
• Knowledge of pathology systems such as WinPath, ICE (Order Communications), and laboratory information systems would be highly desirable.
