Job summary

IPS Group is seeking an ambitious Associate Partner (Partner Designate) to help drive growth and deliver strategic value for a forward-thinking accountancy practice. The role targets an ACA/ACCA-qualified professional with senior-level experience to progress to Partnership.

You will own client portfolios, oversee accounts and tax, lead relationships, manage profitability, and develop teams while steering business development and technology adoption across the firm.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
• Strong accountancy practice background with proven client relationship experience.
• Technically strong across accounts, tax and advisory.
• Commercially minded with experience of developing and growing client portfolios.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• A forward-thinking approach to technology and modern accountancy.
• Ambitious to progress to Partner.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted senior adviser.
• Oversee accounts, tax compliance and business advisory services.
• Lead client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value and grow the portfolio.
• Take responsibility for portfolio profitability, billing, WIP and commercial performance.
• Lead and develop Managers and wider Business Services teams.
• Drive business development, cross-selling and new client opportunities.
• Provide strategic financial and commercial advice to clients.
• Champion technology, automation and continuous improvement across the team.
